Closing in on 48hrs fasted and weighed in at 192 again. Kudos to me for staying hydrated but it is interesting how I have this stall point. I was already planning on making it a 60hr+ and it's 6pm now so we will see what manana brings.

I've bounced off 192 like three times now so it's sorta interesting.

That’s like me my body has been fighting me so hard to dip below 223!

I bet you get a whoosh effect tonight

I wouldn't mind it lol. My wife finally dropped below her sticking weight today. We were looking at her renpho stats and she had been stuck at the same number for a year now, so maybe I'll follow suit

Notes
Finally broke through, my 192 low is now my fed high. While strength numbers are now down enough that I can't deny it, it FEELS more like an energy deficiency. Not super worried.

225 for instance felt like I could have had ten but was gonna fall asleep at 5, lol.

Always a good Sunday session with my boy.

Singles today cause the cold barbell has been crazy painful on the hands. Good call cause that 375 started hurt so I figured I had one give all set left...

Might have had 7-8 reps in me but form might have gone to ****. All in all felt good. I think all time best is only 405 x 6 so hey.

Two observations:
2nd fed day is noticeably higher performance than first fed day post fast. May seem obvious but, hey.

Also Hydes comments a while back about weight gain having more carryover to bench than the other lifts, if I understood correctly, sure feel accurate.

While bench is suffering some, pulls seem to be much closer to peak performance.

I've noticed that too. Bench and ohp are suffering, but I've set DL and squat PR's oddly enough. How low are you cutting?

Nudez to prove it!
I think he will have to get into the singles for that. He already told us he doesn't do nudes over 10%. We know he is built like a brick shlt house, and just trying to stay humble up in here. ;)

Some nice pulls! Just out of curiosity did you keep track of how many grams of carbs you reloaded on? Just curious
if I had to guess based upon historical food measurements it's usually around 150g preWO on day 1, another 100+ postWO and dinner. Instead of 1 scoop of jasmine rice (1 cup) and a bibigo rice bowl (71g carbs) preWO, I've been having 2+ cups of jasmine rice at breakfast with about 1/2lb of meat, then the rice bowl. the breakfast feels crazy heavy in my Tupperware lol. Because I am running nearly ADF style cutting, I'm eating very freely on my feeding days, with my key focus being carbs.

Right now I'm more on a timeline than a scale goal. I have 3 full weeks left until we go on vacation.

Sept 2022 = 183.8lbs
Feb 2023 = 187.4lbs (vacation)
Dec 2023 = 207lbs peak weight
Feb 2024 = ??

I wouldn't mind hitting 187lbs, same weight as I was exactly 1 year prior on our vacation. Wherever I land, I am convinced I have 5-10lbs of additional lean mass on me than when I started back in sept 2022.

Nudez to prove it!

you're killing me 😅😅😅
Getting closer. I was feeling so good in my shirt at the gym yesterday. This month I have felt like I could feel and see my face, arms, and shoulders (unfortunately) getting skinnier. But yesterdays pumps had my sleeves completely filled out despite being down 10lbs, I was super happy about that.

hips are protruding a lot, which seems more like a feminine bikini bridge type attribute to think of, but for me it tells me the spare tire is fading. that little gut area right at and below the belly button is shrinking up sorta fast suddenly this week which is great.

also cardio and explosiveness is getting much easier at this weight than even 10-12lbs ago.

Cardio
Incline LISS/HIIT
30 min
300 calories

Adductor machine
15 x 85lbs, 115lbs, 145lbs, 175

(Honestly boring but I feel it's important right now)

Notes
Didn't mean to break into a HIIT session on a fasted day but after a ten minute warm up I had a hankering to run.

Started with some 1 minute dashes at 6mph, increased .5 every other minute to 9mph. 1 min on, one off (approx, with actual goal being to nail 300 cals in the machine at 30min for a fun challenge )

Been listening to a new Huberman that gets into light therapy for mental health and fighting cancer (I have not made it through the whole thing). That combined with the normal winter doldrums and us going on vacation in a few weeks spurred me to take advantage of a "use as much as you want" deal at the local tanning place postWO today.

i gotta admit the second those hot rays turned on I felt like I was lying on the beach.

Tanning is immensely relaxing. If it wasn’t so hard on the skin, I would get a bed for the house & do it eod. That being said, it is, so I haven’t tanned in years now. It’s great for hiding/minimizing acne with gear use as well.

Not painting it as all bad, but you really have to stay far away from burning and need to do it for far less duration/frequency than you would probably want to.

Yeah I agree, that's always on my mind so I tend to lean towards their lower powered options for shorter durations. Usually I bet I use one twice a year, around now, before vacation lol

I like to tan sometimes as well, especially this time of year but haven't done it much due to time constraints. I normally only go about half the time they allow to avoid burning.

Decent pump. Don't know if it's the carb load or the Triton since I haven't used it much in weeks, maybe months.

Notes
Had a great blow off steam progressive food date with my wife yesterday. We traveled much of Puget sound, visiting four different saltwater fish stores, and a number of Asian restaurants sampling new dumplings etc.

Name of the game today was fun hypertrophy focus to make good use of my current caloric surplus + some deadlift practice.

On a side note, now my wife wants to raise seahorses and I'm excited about the new zooanthids I'll be propagating.

On the weight side.
Low fasted weight this week was 189.
Avg was like 191.8
Today's very fed weight was 195
But my lifting belt made the third hole easily for the first time in forever, it's been stuck on second hole.

My belts journey seen below by 5+ years of indentations around my various cuts and strength cycles

Great and fun looking session.

That is awesome about the seahorses and getting some new stuff for your coral. I love fish, someday I will set my tank back up. I need a new filter and stuff but will likely go with another Texas Cichlid and Peacock tank. Make it brackish and maybe do a stingray too. I like to get ones I can drop some rosies in and watch them eat. :) I also used to have an Amazon Red Tailed catfish that looked like a miniature orca that would eat shrimp out of my hand and let me pet it on it's head when I fed him. He was fine with the cichlids and peacocks because he couldn't catch them and they were more aggressive than him.

Dumpling crawl sounds awesome!
dude, it was so good, lol.
We have sorta fallen in love with this thai place. It's in the depths of the ghetto, near the base, where shootings and prostitution are the highest. It's a "sports bar" that serves thai, and we have many questions but... the food is fantastic so we go back.

What's it take to raise sea horses? Photo below is pretty neat with the color and phosphorescence.
about 21 years ago I raised/bred them for a while so when my wife expressed interest I was both excited and terrified because I knew the potential struggles.... we will likely do hippocampus zosterae (commonly known as dwarf seahorses, although branded by Ocean Rider as "pixies") they're very small, but require live food. so right now we are exploring brine shrimp hatching options and trying to figure out if it's truly feasible to have a "clean" looking system to raise the live food without becoming to eclectic and trashy, and without necessarily having to "hatch" them every single day.... eventually summer time will hit and our other hobbies will want some attention too, lol.

Great and fun looking session.

man years ago I had a cichlid tank, they're definitely my favorite in the freshwater world. I told my wife if we go to Africa I'd love to visit lake Tanginika some day!

Just the tiniest shoulder pain today, so I may have to take my own advice and throw in some armbars to prehab that.
all in all 285 was a very reasonable lift, probably had more in me, so within 5% of my 1RM with about a 10-12lb drop in January is pretty good. I'm happy with the results so far.

Same man, never saw them live but saw some other goodies with Godsmack at the Pain in the Grass shows. I'm getting flashbacks now. pretty sure this one used to come on my playlist every time I was on my run/cardio back in the day when I was first cutting down from like 240lbs to 168.

Classic... The song "1000 mile journey" was stuck in my head the entirety of basic training, probably the last song I heard or some ****. I must have weighed 145-150, but it got me to a 6:15 2 mile lol.

That's some serious weight loss. I'm catching up with where the regulars here are coming from, some impressive stories.

I was planning on playing football senior year of high school but went to college instead then started a company a year later, so all of my intentional weight gain at age 18 sorta went to waste. got married at 20, decided it was ridiculous, and got back into shape. For reference, I wrestled at 148 lol.

168 was too skinny, grew to 198. got into competiting in crossfit, hung out in the 180s most of the time, and always cut down to about 174 at my very leanest, around 8% bodyfat. hung out between 176-182 for years, held on to the six pack for years.

Finally embraced a true strength cycle in sept of 2022, slowly reverse dieting at first. only added 4lbs the first 4 months.
in 2023 I was 187 in Feb when my wife and I went on vacation. By Dec I had PR'd bench and deadlift many times, held on to my 350lb squat, and weighed in at a peak of 207lbs.

Jan 1 of this year 202lbs, really only utilized fasting this month to cut down to a low fasted/dehydrated weight of 189 but my walking around fed weight appears to be 191.x lbs.

we go on vacation again in 2 weeks so I think it would be hilarious to hit 187. that would be a 20lb swing up, and back down, in exactly 12 months, with many PR rewards along the way.

Right now contemplating a strength cycle with my buddy starting March 1st, so I'd like to cut down probably as much as I can before we do that, then run 4-6 week cycles of strenght/bulk followed by mini cuts.

Notes
Work was an ass kicker today so motivation was a little down. Left my belt in the truck and focused on

Discipline > volume > repetition > hypertrophy. .

What started as a crappy make-yourself-go session turned into a pretty old school volume pump day.

Did not make 189.9lbs by end of month but shaved a solid 10lbs.

Now I'm off to moms for her shepherds pie and fasting tomorrow

Work was an ass kicker today so motivation was a little down. Left my belt in the truck and focused on

Discipline > volume > repetition > hypertrophy. .

What started as a crappy make-yourself-go session turned into a pretty old school volume pump day.

Did not make 189.9lbs by end of month but shaved a solid 10lbs.

Now I'm off to moms for her shepherds pie and fasting tomorrow View attachment 240025
Whoa! That looks like a lot of volume! Very nice power clean.

I’m all about it. Stoked to see your setup!
I really need to get a new phone/better camera... I picked up these fruit loop zoas last weekend that I'm pretty excited about. Last night a local guy on FB offered up Utter Chaos Zoas for $10/frag so I grabbed 2 frags from him (5polyps), they're like $50-60+ per frag usually in the stores. they're super healthy too.

dude I was like just do the work even if it's not heavy, next thing I knew it was full blown bro sesh lol preWO must have kicked in... 😅

I'm enjoying bringing power cleans back. I feel like it's just an important lift to me in terms of long ROM and explosiveness. I feel a bit more mobile and agile since bringing them back into my warm-ups.

Pump the volume! Always good when you turn a negative to positive.
