When to add HMG?

So my wife and I are trying to conceive our first child. I have been bnc for 4 years. I started 1000iu hcg eod 2 months ago. I have been off test for 3 weeks, started clomid at 50mg/day a week ago, still taking the same hcg dose. I have conflicting info on when to add hmg. One source says wait 3 months to see if hcg + clomid works, another says run all 3 at once.

When making a thread only press the button 1 time. You triple posted this thread.

Are you self medicating the HCG/clomid or is that a Dr protocol. If it's Dr. Then you should probably stick with whatever they say. We here are not Dr. So we're not really going to advise against a Dr.

If this is all you then I'd check out Dave Polumbo has a good fertility protocol. I'm not usually a fan of his stuff but many have had great success with that protocol and I'm pretty sure it's just HCG and clomid. Maybe try his method first and save the hmg for if that fails.

Sorry about the double post, I got an error message the first time and didn’t think it posted. It is a self medicated protocol, as my endo would only give me clomid. So adding the hcg and hmg is an idea from a case study I found online

I would have followed the doctor's protocol with just the clomid first, even though I don't completely agree with it I'm not a doctor and he/she is.

If that didn't work then I would add the HCG and if that didn't work then I would venture on to the HMG.

Check out that Dave palumbo protocol I think it'll be helpful. Hell, he got Boston loyd fertile

IMO, save that HMG until you about a week out from when you have timed your wife's cycle. That stuff is expensive! But it DOES imitate FSH more than HCG does, so maybe only a few rounds would be necessary.

Otherwise, enjoy the effort, because if you are successful, you may not get many chances for a while... :)

I'd get a semen analysis first. It's hard to build a proper protocol without accurate data to start.

Hey man thanks for asking. No, we haven’t conceived yet, although I didn’t expect to by now. I’ve been on the protocol for about 6 weeks and it takes 10 weeks for sperm to mature. So I’m hoping in the coming months to have success. I have a sperm test and blood panel scheduled for the end of the month to see where my levels are and sperm count is.

In case you’re interested and for me to vent lol, being off test after 4 years of blast n cruise has been mentally and physically challenging. Physically I am down 8 pounds of muscle. I’ve dropped weight while becoming less lean, even tho I am still working out at the same intensity and eating cleaner. My lifts are all solidly down. Weights I could do for 5-6 reps are now at 2-3 reps. I also look like **** compared to 2 months ago.

Mentally has been worse. Keeping up sexually in order to conceive has been tough as my libido is tanked. I can still get hard but about 50% of the time, I need to masturbate until I get hard, then have sex. My wife understands the situation and has been cool so far, but I worry she will lose attraction for me eventually. The performance anxiety is strong and cialis isn’t helping. It’s as if my brain just isn’t sending the signal to my dick at all. I was prepared for this stuff, but it’s not been easy. I just want to conceive so I can get back on test and feel like myself again. If my sperm test comes back low again, I will discontinue clomid and run hcg and hmg together until we conceive.

Oh shoot yeah that sounds rough. A natural T booster might help. One with shilijit, ashwaghanda, and eurycoma longfolia. It probably wont help you keep mass but it might help with some mental aspects and libido
