Do you work a full time desk job? That definately makes things a little tougher. My girl works From home at her desk all day on the computer. I had a few female clients last year the same and building there diets is tough because the lack of activity makes for a low calorie demand. Building on those steps is a great idea. I have my girl eat 2 small meals from her desk at 10am and 2pm so she can use her lunch break to go for a walk or do some cleaning. Basically just do something. I would hate to waste my lunch like that but I'm also up-and-down ladders and moving around all day.So I like to sit still and do nothing at all at lunch lol.
It’s hit or miss if I have a construction project going I’m on site and and least get to move but I don’t really do any work (field engineer/inspector). So lately all this rain has messed up all my bridge projects so I’ve been in the office. So yes I do spend a lot of time at the desk or driving sadly.

Yep 😂 I design in the winter and help the engineers that stamp the drawings and then I am out there the whole time with the contractor. And do all the pay apps and all the boring crap and solve problems when **** don’t go according to plan

I love doing oddball **** like that. Sleds, tire flips, sledge hammer, battle ropes, high rep clean and press with lighter weights and bumper plates.

Im thinking about Getting a kayak To power my way up and down the shoreline for a good workout.

Pretty much.Anything's better than running for me lol.

But ive running too. Nothing crazy, 5k 2×week
Anything but run is the name of the game. Cardio comes as necessity at our ripe age of 39. Happy belated by the way! Haven’t seen ya too much but hope all is well.

Thank you! Ya i havnt been as active. I had some issues/family problems to deal with earlier in the year and it stressed me out so bad i actually got sick from it and kinda just shutdown. Parents are in there 70's now and its showing. Dads burned through a lot of his retirement gambling and making really bad out of character Financial decisions. Daughters going to college but her and her mom are going at it bad and Im doing mom stuff now lol. I burnt out, but im working on it. Taking her to tour University of Vermont Friday and hopefully she likes it there because they gave her enough Scholarship money that i could pay the Remainder out of pocket without getting krushed!

Il stop complaining now lol

guessing the treadmill and jogs I have ramped up this week has got some inflammation going on? My weight has jumped up a fair amount this week and no changes other then added treadmill. No complaints though I seem to be shedding off the initial soreness and fatigue that I was having earlier in the week.

Ya you made some program changes I wouldn’t sweat it. Increases soreness can increase water retention in the affected muscles and increasing cardio can potentially cause initial bumps in weight for some as well.

Yeah that’s what I had figured as well, no worries here just noted it for feedback and to look back on down the road. This weekend with some additional sleep I believe it will flush out

this is also a big reason why Layne talks a lot about average weights, especially with his new carbon diet coach app and groups. Weight can fluctuate a lot for a dozen different reasons. If you look at mine for instance, I go from lows of 194 to highs of 200.8 pretty consistently the last few weeks but my avg is 197 consistently.

I’m doing 4x4x4. I honestly think this has kept me a lot fuller looking and not so flat and meh. I will be excited to run this again when I can be At maintenance or slight surplus.

Also we had some possibility bad news on Friday at are doctors appointment for my wife and the little one on the way. We are going to be going to do more testing today to find out more details on what’s going on and just more facts and details. I will update later on at some point but I’m just kinda out of it and having a hard time concentrating on much until we get some answers today. Pulling for you sir. All of pregnancy and delivery is a scary, uncertain time - not much we have control over, besides choosing to be the support for our wives. That is your job, to be the anchor, so focus on that.

So good news update. Basically short story long little guy in the last growth scan dropped down to the 5th percent range. He has been tracking on the smaller side. So we had to go to fetal growth specialist and do Doppler tests and stress tests and more I. Depth ultrasound.
The good news is they are not detecting any fetal restriction or any issues, just on the smaller side at the moment.
We will have to be doing weekly Doppler checks and something else I don’t remember. As long as things stay the same or increase we are shooting for 39 weeks. If things decline they will be looking to get him out earlier. So definitely some needed good news today! Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers.

Don't stress homie, stay rooted in prayer and remember we have an incredible medical system, especially for babies. My nephew was born at 26 weeks and spent the first 2 months of his life in ICU, during a 40 year snow storm we had up here back in 2019. His odds were low, and he was a million dollar baby. But they take babies very very seriously and right now he's basically bigger and stronger at the age of 5, than his two older siblings. you can even see his little biceps and delts popping. I would not be surprised to see him become a linebacker!!

All I mean to say is that these medical professionals are very very good at what they do and they have to plan for every contingency, no pregnancy is the same and your wife is in very good hands!

Wow that is an amazing story! Definitely medical health has come a long ways. That’s what the specialist basically said he was like even if everything goes bad and we have to do worst case scenario. C section and just say 34 weeks he’s like there is still some risk but very marginal after the 32 week mark. So that was definitely comforting to hear.
Also made a huge improvement on the wife because she kept thinking it was all her fault, despite my best efforts to tell her it was not. So all around a lot better!

hey man just to be clear I mean no disrespect to your situation and I'm not at all belittling the stress you guys feel, I just wanted to give you some examples of some really scary situations that turned out totally great because of both medical improvements and in my very strong opinion, the power of prayer and Holy intervention.

My wife is a pretty small woman, she was I think 112lbs when she got pregnant with the twins. Dr said she basically had to have a C section because even if they tried naturally, chances were one was going to have to be cut out regardless. so they scheduled that and did it and my oldest step daughter (by 1 minute, lol) had the umbilical cord tied in a knot. it was another scary moment that led to what is now my amazingly beautiful and intelligent 22yr old step daughters! God is good and our doctors are awesome. You guys are in great hands.

They always do lol. I'm not an evolutionist but we are made to feel a way and this is something that gives her purpose in life, I am sure. like Hyde said, be her foundation of love and support. just take care of your queen and put the rest in God's hands. you'll be aiight!

Oh you’re good man I didn’t take it any other way, I appreciate hearing others experiences and some times in helps put things into perspective. So no worries I didn’t take anything out of context or anything like that.

When you come in to train but you know you’re underfed/slept and/or overstressed, it’s okay to take some weight off the bar. You don’t have to put 2 plates on the squat bar if it’s moving like ass - I wish someone had taught me that earlier on.

You have to train with the weights you can handle on the day. At some point those have to go up to get results, but you can’t hope/dream your way to being fully recovered. Sometimes that means going in less often, or curbing your expectations if you do.

Yeah I should have dropped it down because it wasn’t working. I’ll keep that in the memory bank for future use !
